Contracts

Cure Period

By Tim Nichols

In plain English

A period allowed to correct a default before specified remedies may be exercised. A contract may require notice describing the problem and a particular delivery method before the period starts. Having a valid complaint does not necessarily permit immediate termination when an applicable cure process remains unfinished.
